I understand that some new DoStos have been registered and are numbered:
50 80 86-73 501-8
50 80 86-73 502-6
50 80 96-73 501-6
50 80 96-73 502-4
50 80 96-73 503-2
50 80 96-73 504-0
50 80 96-73 505-7
50 80 96-73 506-5
50 80 96-73 507-3
50 80 96-73 508-1
50 80 96-73 509-9
50 80 96-73 510-7

The VKM is D-BTH. Does anyone have any photos or specifications of these cars?

the cars belongs to an order from the Landesnahverkehrsgesellschaft Niedersachsen (LNVG) in 2018, see [www.railwaygazette.com]. It includes two push-pull-sets, each with six cars and one 147.5 (TRAXX AC3). The locomotives are already in service (147 543 and 147 544). The cars aren't. You've written the numbers of the cars:

To the intermediate (... 96-73 501-6 to ... 96-73 510-7) cars I can't say much. There are two groups. The mayority (eight cars) have high entry doors, two of them have low entry doors.

Bisher war die LNVG ja in einer Hinsicht logisch:
55 80 xx-73 xxx-x Tiefeinstieg, auch Steuerwagen!
55 80 xx-75 xxx-x Hocheinstieg
Ebenso kannten sie wenigstens auch den kleinen Buchstaben "d" bei Doppelstockwagen als Kennzeichnung für Mehrzweckabteile. Also meist etwas logischer als die rote Konkurrenz.
