Hello,
Perhaps some of you will be able to help me. I'm trying to find as many Las engines from Chrzanow as I can - many of them were sold to various countries, including Germany. Unfortunately, origins and factory numbers of a few engines are still a mystery. I'm looking for any clues that would help me clarify the situation.
Here's a list of what I have already found:
1. Chrzanow 1982/1949 - plinthed in Oberoderwitz (Germany)
2. Chrzanow 2959/1951 - somewhere in the UK (London?), ex Swanwick
3. Chrzanow 3043/1952 - Berliner Parkeisenbahn (operational)
4. Chrzanow 3297/1954 - Stoomcentrum Maldegem (Belgium, overhauled)
5. Chrzanow 3321/1954 - Kanzach (Germany), tender in Straupitz (stored)
6. Chrzanow 3326/1954 - Preston (UK) - not clear if it's still there
7. Chrzanow 3459/1957 - South Tynedale Railway (UK) - operational
8. Chrzanow 3471/1957 - Erlebnisspark Schloss Thurn - operational (?)
9. Chrzanow 3506/1959 - West Lancashire Light Railway - plinthed
10. Chrzanow 3812/1958 - Frankfurter Feldbahnmuseum - overhauled
11. Chrzanow 3816/1958 - Bad Muskauer Waldeisenbahn - plinthed
12. Chrzanow ?/? - Touristikbahn Hinterschlagen-Buchleiten, Ampflwang, Austria - number needed, it's been listed as TFK 1484, but this is a boiler number.
13. Chrzanow ?/? - Bakkersmolen steam engine museum, Essen-Wildert (Belgium) - possibly even two engines of unknown numbers.
I've been trying to contact some people in Belgium regarding the engines at Bakkersmolen, but to no avail.
Any more Las locomotives somewhere?
All the best,
Tomi
