As you probably know, between September 25 and October 8 the centenary of the Arad-Podgoria meter-gauge suburban railway system is being celebrated. My girlfriend and I traveled from Iasi to Arad over 700 km to take part in this event.

We reached Arad in the early morning hours of September 28. We took the first tram which began its service that day towards Piata Romana in order to wait there for the tram on line 12 to Ghioroc (22 km away from Arad), from where we were going to take the 1995-restored Sageata Verde (“The Green Arrow”) back to Arad. While waiting for the tram to Ghioroc, we took some pictures of other trams coming from the two depots. Here is the ex-Essen 1861:


We arrived in Ghioroc at 7 with the ex-Mannheim 301+311...


... hoping the sun would clear off the very cloudy sky and wash away the fog - and so it did, little by little. The fog had completely disappeared by the time the ex-Halle 1189+170 set off to Arad:



Sageata Verde finally arrived from the Ghioroc depot (a few hundred metres away) around 8:30; it was due to leave Ghioroc at 9, so we had enough time to take photos, both from the outside and from the inside:










Suddenly the utility tram car ex-Mannheim 1309 came with some workers from Arad. We quickly jumped out of Sageata Verde to take some pictures of it:


At 9 o’clock sharp the restored Ganz car got into motion towards Arad:


We reached the Maximilian station, the end of line for the trip with Sageata, close to Micalaca depot.


We then took a regular tram to Piata Romana in order to get back to Ghioroc with the Gotha car ex-Halberstadt 37. At Piata Romana the hearts of ex-Würtzburg 276 passed by:

At 11 we started the ride back to Ghioroc:


We took a short break at Cicir station and waiting point (as you already noticed, the trams from both ways use the same track). That was a perfect moment for some pictures. Some other people took advantage of the break as well:


Five minutes later the tram coming from Ghioroc arrived (ex-Halle 1174+173):

After that, we went at the Ghioroc depot transformed into a museum. The Gotha tram took a few hours break (not yet a permanent one, as the cemetery near by would suggest) in front of the entrance of the depot:

Because the museum tour took longer than we expected, we missed the tram back to Arad, but we caught it on pictures. Here is the so-called "omida" ("the worm"), ex-Ludwigshafen 1014+1054:


We got back to Arad by an ex-Halle bus together with a group of employees of CTP Arad (the local public transportation company), who also visited the museum:

Weil Sie wahrscheinlich, zwischen am 25. September und am 8. Oktober das Jahrhundert des Arad-Podgoria Meter-Eichmaßes wissen, wird Vorstadteisenbahnsystem gefeiert. Meine Freundin und ich reisten von Iasi bis Arad mehr als 700 km, um an diesem Ereignis teilzunehmen.

Wir erreichten Arad früh an den Morgenstunden vom 28. September. Wir nahmen die erste Straßenbahn, die seinen Dienst an diesem Tag zu Piata Romana begann, um dort auf die Straßenbahn online 12 zu Ghioroc (22 km weg von Arad), davon zu warten, wohin wir dabei waren, den 1995 wieder hergestellten Sageata Verde ("Der Grüne Pfeil") zurück zu Arad zu nehmen. Indem wir auf die Straßenbahn zu Ghioroc warteten, nahmen wir einige Bilder anderer Straßenbahnen, die aus den zwei Depots kommen. Hier ist Ex-Essen 1861:

... hoffend würde die Sonne den sehr bewölkten Himmel beseitigen und den Nebel abwaschen - und so tat es nach und nach. Der Nebel war als Ex-Halle 1189+170 abgehoben zu Arad völlig verschwunden:



Sageata Verde kam schließlich vom Ghioroc Depot (einige hundert Meter weg) ringsherum 8:30 an; es war erwartet, Ghioroc an 9 zu verlassen, so hatten wir genug Zeit, um Fotos sowohl von außen als auch von innen zu nehmen:










Plötzlich kam das Dienstprogramm-Straßenbahn-Auto ex-Mannheim 1309 mit einigen Arbeitern aus Arad. Wir sprangen schnell aus Sageata Verde, um einige Bilder davon zu nehmen:


Um 9 Uhr scharf kam das wieder hergestellte Ganz Auto in Bewegung zu Arad:


Wir erreichten die Station von Maximilian, das Ende der Linie für die Reise mit Sageata in der Nähe vom Micalaca Depot.


Wir nahmen dann eine regelmäßige Straßenbahn zu Piata Romana, um zu Ghioroc mit dem Gotha Auto ex-Halberstadt 37 zurückzukommen. An Piata Romana die Herzen von ex-Würtzburg 276 vorbeigegangen:

An 11 fingen wir die Fahrt zurück zu Ghioroc an:


Wir nahmen eine kurze Brechung an der Cicir Station und auf Punkt wartend (weil Sie bereits bemerkten, verwenden die Straßenbahnen von beiden Wegen dieselbe Spur). Das war ein vollkommener Moment für einige Bilder. Einige andere Leute nutzten die Brechung ebenso aus:


Fünf Minuten später kam die Straßenbahn, die aus Ghioroc kommt (Ex-Halle 1174+173) an:

Danach gingen wir am Ghioroc in ein Museum umgestalteten Depot. Die Gotha Straßenbahn nahm Brechung von ein paar Stunden (noch nicht ein dauerhafter, weil der Friedhof in der Nähe vorschlagen würde) vor dem Eingang des Depots:

Wir kamen zu Arad durch einen Bus von Ex-Halle zusammen mit einer Gruppe von Angestellten von CTP Arad zurück (die lokale Gesellschaft des öffentlichen Personenverkehrs), wer auch das Museum besuchte:
